TikiTender Returns To The Golden Lion

TikiTender will be returning to his roots this weekend as a guest bartender at Golden Lion Cafe!  

Mark will be behind the Golden Lion Tiki Bar during during the Best Beach Bar Award Party  presented by Florida Beach Bar then again on Sunday during their Father’s Day BBQ.

This will be a return to home for TikiTender, who was behind the bar nearly a decade ago when the beach side restaurant received their first Best Beach Bar award.    Mark spent nine years behind the wood at the Golden Lion, before leaving to launch an event bartending company, Fun Coast Bartending.

Celebrate Repeal Day!

Since 2006, I have been recognizing Repeal Day.  I was inspired by my bar brother in the PNW, Jeffrey Morganthaler.   When I first started, people thought I made it up.  But it caught on over time.  Today, people will be celebrating from DC to Chicago to LA

We will be celebrating tonight at The Humidor Cigar Bar & Lounge in Palm Coast,  beginning at 7:00pm with a ceremonial reading of the 21st Amendment.

The Humidor, located in European Village, is a classic space boasting leather, dark woods, and a fantastic vibe.   Guests are encouraged to dress in the attire of the era (1

My Cigar Lounge Adventure is Two Years Old! Celebrate With Me In Palm Coast!

Out with the old, in with the new! (July 2013)

Hard to believe, but it has been TWO YEARS since I joined Ky Ekinci in a new venture.   With literally no cigar experience, I jumped in  to The Humidor with both feet in mid-July 2013.   After a few days of “undercover boss”, I announced to the world that I was actually the new boss.  It was a scary and invigorating time.   Who I am fooling, it is still a little scary.   Not only am I banking on the success of this venture, but I also have four employees who depend (each in different degrees) on the success of this venture for income.  No pressure or anything.   But, I have a great partner and team helping me along the way.

We will be celebrating for three days in Palm Coast this week!  Won’t you join the party?

We’ve greatly expanded the beer selection since Fall of 2013

On Thursday we will be hosting a cigar & wine social featuring Cordoba & Morales handmade cigars.  Our cigar “socials” have become a vital part of the operation as a means of introducing new cigars to our guests and bringing new guests in for the first time.    Read more here and RSVP!

Friday we will be hosting our annual Black Friday In July event.  Great deals and live music from 5pm-10pm.  Don’t miss it!

Making Drinks For The Ladies (Again)

Tonight will be the first of four events this month at Mon Petit Chou Spa & Salon in St. Augustine.   Mon Petit Chou is a full service boutique spa located in St. Augustine Beach. A hidden gem and home of Amanda Hopcraft, Makeup Artist.

Today marks 0ne year of partnership between my company, Fun Coast Bartending, and the fabulous ladies of Mon Petit Chou.   After working a wedding together a few years ago Amanda and I stayed in contact and she called me in for the spa’s grand opening last January.     Now I’m practically part of the staff there.

At least once a month, I provide the first M in the spa’s “Martini, Manicure, Makeover, and Massage” nights.   These 4Ms nights have been super fun and I look forward to them every month! The spa recently started providing Private 4M parties, which is  why I will be there four times this month.
