Celebrate Repeal Day!

Since 2006, I have been recognizing Repeal Day.  I was inspired by my bar brother in the PNW, Jeffrey Morganthaler.   When I first started, people thought I made it up.  But it caught on over time.  Today, people will be celebrating from DC to Chicago to LA

We will be celebrating tonight at The Humidor Cigar Bar & Lounge in Palm Coast,  beginning at 7:00pm with a ceremonial reading of the 21st Amendment.

The Humidor, located in European Village, is a classic space boasting leather, dark woods, and a fantastic vibe.   Guests are encouraged to dress in the attire of the era (1
0% Discount On EVERYTHING for those dressed for the occasion).    In addition, Anchor Steam Beer will be $2 all day.  Anchor Steam is a pre-prohibition brew from San Francisco.

My Cigar Lounge Adventure is Two Years Old! Celebrate With Me In Palm Coast!

Out with the old, in with the new! (July 2013)

Hard to believe, but it has been TWO YEARS since I joined Ky Ekinci in a new venture.   With literally no cigar experience, I jumped in  to The Humidor with both feet in mid-July 2013.   After a few days of “undercover boss”, I announced to the world that I was actually the new boss.  It was a scary and invigorating time.   Who I am fooling, it is still a little scary.   Not only am I banking on the success of this venture, but I also have four employees who depend (each in different degrees) on the success of this venture for income.  No pressure or anything.   But, I have a great partner and team helping me along the way.

We will be celebrating for three days in Palm Coast this week!  Won’t you join the party?

We’ve greatly expanded the beer selection since Fall of 2013

On Thursday we will be hosting a cigar & wine social featuring Cordoba & Morales handmade cigars.  Our cigar “socials” have become a vital part of the operation as a means of introducing new cigars to our guests and bringing new guests in for the first time.    Read more here and RSVP!

Friday we will be hosting our annual Black Friday In July event.  Great deals and live music from 5pm-10pm.  Don’t miss it!

We continue the celebration on Saturday with great beers from Anderson Valley Brewing.  Love music from Brad Griese 8-11!

Boont Amber Ale – This amber ale boasts hints of sun toasted grain, toffee, and fruity esters. Beer Advocate Score: 86 ABV: 5.8% (12 oz can)

Summer Solstice Seasonal Ale – A slightly sweet, malty session beer with a creamy mouth feel and clean finish. Beer Advocate Score: 83 ABV: 5% (12 oz can)

The Kimmie, The Yink, & The Holy Gose – The Gose style (pronounced “Go-zuh”) was traditionallybrewed using salted water and 50% malted wheat and was spiced with coriander and hops. Beer Advocate Score: 85 ABV: 4.2% (12 oz can)

Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout – Aged for three months in Wild Turkey® Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. Pinchy Jeek Barl – Aged for 6 months in Wild Turkey® barrels, this bourbon barrel-aged pumpkin ale is pleasantly creamy with a silky body and sweet caramel flavor. Beer Advocate Score: 82 ABV: 8.5% (22 oz bomber)

Huge Arker – True to its Boontling moniker, “Huge Arker” is a massive force of nature that detonates on your tongue. After primary fermentation, the beer is aged in Wild Turkey® Bourbon barrels until it fully matures. The deep mahogany color is evocative of the opulence to follow. Celebrate Craft Beer Week With Me! (May 11- May 17)

Join me as I celebrate American Craft Beer Week at my cigar bar, The Humidor Cigar Bar & Lounge, in Palm Coast.   We will be showcasing one brew each day, starting Monday.
From Sierra Nevada, widely recognized as the impetus behind the craft beer movement, to locally brewed Lunar Eclipse Stout we have a diverse list for you to try. While all the beers are available any time, we will be announcing specials each day for the showcased brews. Check the list below and try support small breweries this week!

Our members & guests had a great time at our February Cigar & Wine social, featuring Rocky Patel cigars and the limited Apothic Dark red blend wine.

Members & guests gathered at The Humidor Cigar Bar & Lounge on a chilly February 3rd to enjoy great cigars & wines!   We were featuring the Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary cigar and the Apothic Dark blend along with some great music from Brad Griese.

The night featured “Buy 5, Get 2” specials on all Rocky Patel cigars as well as some fun giveaways.

Launched last year, the Rocky Patel Royale was an immediate hit at The Humidor Cigar Bar & Lounge.   This stick is  box-pressed with a Sumatra wrapper, giving it an earthy core with espresso and leather aftertastes.   Like most Rocky Patel offerings, the Royale is medium to full bodied.

The Royale received a 92 rating by Cigar Aficionado upon release and was subsequently listed at #5 in the magazine’s Top 25 Cigars of 2014.   Available, along with many others in the Rocky Patel family, in the lounge.

Viking Blod, from Dansk Mjod in Denmark, is a delicious hibiscus infused mead available now at the Humidor Ciagar Bar & Lounge!  Come have some Viking Blod with me!

Mead, the oldest alcoholic beverage known to man, is made by fermenting honey with water and sometimes adding hops and spices.  Viking Blod is infused with hibiscus and most closely resembles an aged tawny port in flavor.   A five-ounce serving will set you back $12.
